Beth Ruyak

Beth Ruyak is an Emmy-award winning journalist, host, producer, writer, and since 2018, documentary filmmaker. In 2020, after decades in television news, sports, and programming, and eight years hosting Insight with Beth Ruyak on CapRadio (NPR), she went back to school, recently completing her MA in Communications. Through her company, Ruyak Media, Beth completed a third film, WATERFALL A Rock Band., in 2024, and is working on a new project for 2026. She has been a dedicated community contributor who especially values her work with young people and literacy. She has interviewed hundreds of writers and authors, and these conversations are among her favorites. Beth is excited to be part of this year’s Sacramento Book Festival!
