Richard Meredith

Mystery, Thriller, Suspense

Raised on episodes of Sea Hunt and Jacques Cousteau, Richard Meredith moved from Michigan to pursue a career as a marine biologist in California. His work has provided rich fodder for his writing. His latest novel, Maskirovka—The Russian Science of Deception, which received a Starred Review from Kirkus Reviews, draws on his work as an analyst in the petroleum industry. His years on commercial fishing boats formed the backdrop of his thriller, The Crow’s Nest, which won the Silver Falchion Award for the Best Action-Adventure novel in 2021 at Killer Nashville. Richard is Vice President of Capitol Crimes, the Sacramento area chapter of Sisters-in-Crime.

When not writing, he enjoys travel, bird and wildlife watching, scuba diving, guitars, rock concerts, and most sports. He is married with two children and four grandchildren.
