Meredith May is an award-winning journalist and the author of five books, including The Honey Bus, the best-selling memoir about her beekeeping childhood with her grandfather in Big Sur. Her books have been published in eighteen countries and translated into eleven languages. She spent sixteen years at the San Francisco Chronicle, where her narrative reporting won the PEN USA Literary Award for Journalism and was short-listed for the Pulitzer Prize. She lives on the California Central Coast, where she is a fifth-generation beekeeper and volunteers as a scuba diver for the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
