Mornings on Fair Oaks Bridge, Watching Wildlife on the Lower American River is a guidebook for residents and visitors to actively participate in nature and wildlife observation through all seasons of the year. She leads river tours and nature journaling workshops sharing her knowledge of the area. Janice was a featured guest on Insight with Beth Ruyak at Capital Public Radio and Good Day Sacramento to discuss her early morning experiences on the river. She has also written books to inspire children and families to create meaningful connections to the outdoor world, including Nature Detectives at Home and What Song does the Rain Sing?

Kelley brings a lifetime of writing experience to adult Life Writing workshops, guiding students to observe life’s everyday moments and turn them into bits of wisdom, creative insights and stories. She presents writing workshops at Sierra College Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) and active living communities.
