Cortney Cino is the founder of Whimspire Books, a children’s author, longtime healthcare marketer, and mom of three girls who inspire nearly everything she writes. She launched Whimspire Books in Sacramento in the fall of 2023. Cortney's stories spark curiosity, build confidence, and/or make readers giggle.
Before publishing, Cortney spent 15+ years in healthcare marketing, translating complex science into clear, compelling messages. Picture books aren’t so different: you get a few hundred words to make a child feel something, learn something, and want to pick the book up again.
Cortney's titles include The Lights That Stay, the Piper’s Adventures series, Finally Home, and Sincerely, Antonia. Her upcoming picture book, Arlo Needs Your Help (May 2026), recently received a Kirkus Starred Review.
