Claudia Schwalm is the author and illustrator of several bilingual (Spanish/English) picture books for the early childhood years. She credits her ability to create stories for young readers to her years as an elementary school educator in the Bay Area. Since retiring as a full-time teacher, Claudia has been able to photograph wildlife on all seven continents. She also enjoys presenting workshops for educators and visiting classrooms to introduce the wonders of nature, geography, and world languages. Her studios in Volcano, Ca. are open by appointment. This location also houses a reference library of over 2000 titles on international folk art and children’s multicultural/multilingual literature. More information is available on her website:
