Christine L. Villa is a Filipino-American resident of California, who lives with her husband and Maltipoo named Haiku. She is an all-around creative explorer—a children’s book author, haiku and tanka poet, publisher, speaker, mixed media artist, and photographer. Among the eleven picture book titles she has published since 2014, nine have won awards in the Northern California Publishers and Authors Book Award Competitions, Purple Dragonfly Book Awards, Royal Dragonfly Book Awards, and Story Monsters Approved Book Awards. Some of these book titles are now available in bilingual editions (English and Filipino) and (English and Spanish). Her poems, photographs, and artwork have also won recognition and several awards.
She is the founder of Purple Cotton Candy Arts, a business that offers publishing services such as editing, proofreading, illustrating, formatting, and book trailers. She teaches a workshop entitled “Essentials of Writing a Picture Book."
