Bernard is the author of 3 novels, 2 of which are award winners. The Girl Electric series is about AI entities that inhabit humans as physical enhancements. He also writes creative nonfiction, true stories dramatized to recreate the event. Bernard is active in local writers’ clubs, at the executive level. As past president of the California Writers Club, he created the Sacramento Book festival which others, such as J Scott Coatsworth, have taken to a professional level.
