Dwight Holing is the author of 20 books. His Nick Drake Murder & Mystery on the High Lonesome series is set in rural Oregon in the 1970s and stars a US Fish & Wildlife Ranger. The eighth installment, The Broken Blood, won the 2025 Silver Falchion for Best Western. His Jack McCoul series features a San Francisco con artist who solves murders. He is on the Board of Capitol Crimes and is a member of Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America, and Western Writers of America, Dwight lives in Carmel Valley with his kick-ass environmentalist wife and two dogs who’d rather swim than walk.
